this vn made a big impression on me. it's clearly a very ambitious project. the unique, very polished ui, and bit messy, highly emotive character art, and also the music, all already provide a very strong atmosphere, both oppressive and memorable.

the writing really puts you into the mind of these deeply suffering and deranged characters, confined in such an abnormal setting. i really wanted Rissa to be happy and uh that sure did not work out :")i knew things will only get worse but i still had hope. the dynamic between her and Silva also was really good, can't really express it but i felt it a lot.

the setting, a mystery in itself, an unreal surreal reality of weird cults and science experiments, was really interesting.

the atmosphere and vibes definitely felt like a high quality denpa vn. (reminded me of Subahibi a lot in some places, ignore the fact that's one of the few denpa vns i read, hahah.) i am looking forward to the sequel for sure.

Thank you for the comment! I am a huge fan of denpa VNs myself, so I'm glad other denpa fans are getting something out of di/para. The sequel won't disappoint!

The visual presentation and art in this VN are both absolutely phenomenal from start to finish~!  Everything from the animations on the portraits, to the scrolling simulated social media feed, all the way down to the icons switching between a mouse and keys depending on your last input; I was blown away by the amount of care put into the visuals here~!

I felt so terrible for poor Rissa; I've been in similar mental places myself in the past, what with her intense repression, sex repulsion, and self-loathing that wraps back around into something like misanthropy, so her character really stood out to me.

Still, for as powerful as the flashbacks to Rissa's past were, I found myself wanting to know more about just how, exactly, she and everyone else ended up at this School That Kills You—and for that matter, what precisely it is that the researchers in the larger facility are investigating, and what the references to extremely long periods of elapsed time truly mean for our girls.  We're given many questions but very few answers...

Perhaps all will be revealed in the sequel?  I suppose I'll have to keep an eye out for it; but for now, great work on this one~

Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed! The setting for dipara was really fun to put together, when all the pieces fall into place it will be a great time. Great to see someone else related to Rissa's struggles! I put a lot of care and self-experience into her character.

holy shit, im kind of upset at myself for only now getting to reading this. this is the kind of narrative that really shines with smart visual presentation, and you did all that and more, plus with Cyparisse being an all-around top-tier vn narrator it really excels. basically, it was a banger. im glad that there will be future entries in this series, (and also updates to this entry!! :D) i eagerly anticipate whats to come. also flowers for adding full controller support. i am a major renpy controller advocate so thank you. thank you for making this ,im blown away that it was written in only a few short days. fantastic work!

Thank you so much, I'm really glad you enjoyed! Cyparisse is a character that means a lot to mean and I'm glad a lot of people have been touched by her struggles.

I feel blessed to receive another release from Azalin. This one settles Azalin as one of the most promising vn teams out there, if I may get a bit ahead of myself. The performance overall is genuinely impressive and really gets me invested. This is also some real wild dive into the deep end stuff, during which I can see a lot of exploratory efforts into details one usually considers unconventional. Such practice has been the writer's forte. I really do appreciate it. While a further step is taken, a balance is found. In a more concise and natural manner, the writing style on this project is fitting.

Azalin's programmer has always exerted presentation potential of Ren'Py to the fullest in past works, and this one is no exception. One not familiar with Ren'Py properties or visual novel in general might be surprised how vivid and expressive the game presents itself to be. Quite a few creative approaches are adopted here as well. Moreover, music composed for this work played its role well, really adding a nice touch. Illustrations, whether of characters or scenes, never fall short, albeit made for a relatively small project. These collectively make the reading experience pleasant and ensure the reader an unhindered nightmarish descent. :D

I plan not to talk much about the characters or plot, partially because I don't feel equipped to do so, being not so familiar with the topic and having a hard time choosing words. Nevertheless, it's an intriguing read I'd like to recommend.

With all those said, please excuse me if I'm making major mistakes, be it factually or in wording. I have recently picked up English and not read much, so my views on literary works might be off the mark at times. Since impressions may vary, might as well try it out yourself then. Some other thoughts and random impressions with potential spoiler are likely to be followed later in replies.

Readers may find that not everything in here are eventually explained in a clear or accessible way, for instance, some characters' identities or capabilities and more. It's of note the novel is one part of a narrative universe the team's been working on, and the undisclosed or unresolved will presumably be given more insight into in future works (Rosebound, Caelestis Phylaca...). I usually just sit back and take in how the events make me feel on such occasions)) The story itself is complete of course.

This is also a potent competitor as a game jam entry, with itself essentially being an exemplar of a game on the designated theme. I'm impressed how the team put this together in 45 days. To sum up, it's been a good read, will follow through. Kudos to Azalin and all the team members. It's a job well done.

(Days before I had trouble accessing my account, during which I tried to submit the review several times with an alternate one, but (possibly) to no avail. My apologies for the possible spam ;-;)

If you enjoyed this visual novel, which you will in case you haven't read it yet and are looking for consensus, please understand that you will also enjoy Damon Packard's REFLECTIONS OF EVIL. It's on YouTube, although it's unfortunately not yuri.

Damon Packard is a true visionary...

I had a very small part in this project, but it was a pleasant surprise to read through the complete product. The characters and drama feel believable even with the overarching fantasy/sci-fi mystery, and the presentation is great. Give this a read if you want a short, but quality toxic-yuri experience.
